Kesher means "connection". A Kesher Group is an intentional gathering of people who meet regularly. People form groups around what matters in their lives. These groups also provide time and space that allow us to pray for each other and support each other in practical ways. Our Kesher Groups are the building blocks for community life here at Congregation Baruch HaShem. Kesher Groups meet once a week in locations all around the valley, and with many groups to choose from, we believe there is a group out there for you!

  • KESHER GROUPS ARE "FREE MARKET"

    "Free market" simply means group leaders are free to use their gifts and interests to determine when and where their group meets and what they meet about.

  • FOUR SESSIONS EVERY YEAR

    Life flows in seasons, and we want to make it easy for you to be in the right kesher group for you in each season. Our sessions start and stop four times a year with breaks around major Jewish Holy Days.

  • YOU CAN JOIN A GROUP

    We would love for you to get connected in a kesher group. Check out our current groups or visit the Giving Table (located in the back of the sanctuary) at Shabbat Service. Once you find a group that interests you, contact the leaders to learn more and make plans to check it out in person.

  • YOU CAN HOST/LEAD A GROUP

    We believe everyone has areas of strength and gifting that can benefit others, and hosting or leading a group is a great way to make connections. The first steps toward become a Kesher Group Leader is to attend the Kesher Group Leader Training that's held quarterly at CBH. You'll discover it's easier to become a host and/or leader than you think!

WHAT'S NEXT FOR KESHER GROUPS?

Kesher Groups are starting back up for Summer 2023! Our summer Kesher Group session will run from June 4th to August 17th. In addition to seasonal groups, we also have a few ongoing groups that continue to meet outside of Kesher group sessions!
